Removable tooth replacement in West Delhi
Dentures are removable restorations that replace several missing teeth or a complete arch. At Dr. Kathuria’s Dental Specialties, Dr. Eisha Kathuria plans support, retention, bite and appearance around the condition of the mouth.
A denture cannot reproduce natural teeth completely. Clear expectations, adaptation and maintenance are part of treatment planning.
Same-day consultations may be available; call to confirm. Monday–Saturday, 9:30 am–8:00 pm.

01 · Quick answer
A partial denture replaces some teeth and uses remaining teeth and tissues for support. A complete denture replaces all teeth in an arch. Implant-retained options may improve retention in selected patients.
In brief: diagnosis and suitability require individual examination.
02 · Overview
Dentures restore tooth presence, appearance and some chewing function. Their movement and efficiency depend on anatomy, saliva, muscle control, support and design.
Bone and soft tissues continue to change after tooth loss, so fit can alter over time. Adjustments, relining or replacement may become necessary.
03 · Suitability
Dentures can suit people missing several or all teeth, including those who are not candidates for fixed treatment or prefer a removable option.
Clinical note: this list supports discussion; it does not diagnose suitability.
04 · Compare choices
Fixed bridges and implants offer different support and maintenance. Dentures may replace more teeth with less surgery but are removable and can move during function.
Second opinion
A second opinion can review diagnosis, alternatives, expected maintenance and the proposed restorative sequence.
05 · Treatment designs
The design follows the number and position of missing teeth, support tissues, remaining teeth and patient priorities.
Acrylic or metal-framework designs replace selected teeth.
A full removable restoration for a toothless arch.
Attachments improve retention in suitable cases.
06 · Consultation
Bring medicine details, relevant dental records and a clear account of symptoms or previous treatment.
Review symptoms, health and priorities.
Assess teeth, gums and bite.
Use imaging when clinically indicated.
Compare benefits, limits and alternatives.
Agree sequence and maintenance.
07 · Process
Teeth, tissues, jaw relationships and existing dentures are examined.
Impressions or scans, bite records and appearance information are collected.
Tooth position, bite and appearance may be reviewed before completion.
The denture is inserted with cleaning, wearing and adaptation instructions.
08 · Aftercare
Speech, chewing and sore areas often require practice and adjustment. Begin with the instructions provided for the specific denture.
Use softer foods and practise controlled chewing.
Arrange adjustment rather than altering the denture yourself.
Clean the denture and mouth as instructed.
Fit, tissues, bite and remaining teeth need periodic assessment.
Contact the clinic promptly for worsening swelling, persistent bleeding, fever, spreading pain, altered sensation or a loose restoration. Seek urgent medical care for breathing or swallowing difficulty.
09 · Informed consent
Retention and comfort vary with anatomy and can change over time.
10 · Planning
Partial dentures use teeth and tissues in different proportions. Rest seats, clasps and guide surfaces affect stability and load distribution.
Complete dentures depend on tissue form, border extension, saliva, neuromuscular control and a balanced tooth arrangement.
11 · Clinical approach
Weak supports are not hidden inside the design.
Fixed and implant-retained choices are discussed where relevant.
Movement, speech and chewing expectations are realistic.
Adjustments, relines and repairs are part of long-term care.

14 · Common questions
Usually not. The mouth needs time to adapt to bulk, movement, speech and chewing. Adjustments may be required.
Many patients are advised to remove dentures for a daily rest period, but follow the instructions provided for your mouth and treatment stage.
Remove and clean them with the recommended brush and cleanser. Also clean the tongue, gums and any remaining teeth.
Tissues and bone can change after tooth loss. Wear, weight change and material changes can also affect fit.
Do not use household glue or alter the denture. Professional assessment determines whether repair is safe and accurate.
They may need adjustment, relining or replacement when fit, bite, materials or oral conditions change.
